Software Engineer

We're working with a growing SaaS company in the FinTech space, based in Ghent, who are looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys building reliable software and wants to contribute to a product used in real-world financial workflows.

The company develops modern cloud-based solutions that help organisations work smarter with financial data.

You will join a multi-faceted team and play a role in shaping the product and the technical foundation. This is a hands-on role with ownership, where your decisions directly influence the quality of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features across the application using TypeScript
• Build performant user interfaces using React and Next.js
• Develop and evolve backend services and APIs using Node.js
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Take part in debugging and resolving production issues
• Explore and prototype new ideas, including the use of Python, AI, and LLMs, where they add real product value
• Continuously refine development processes and contribute to a healthy engineering culture

Your Profile

• Solid experience working with TypeScript
• Experience or strong interest in full-stack development
• Hands-on knowledge of React, Next.js, and Node.js is a significant advantage
• Experience with Python is a plus
• Curiosity or practical experience in Artificial Intelligence, LLMs, or machine learning is highly valued
• Strong communication skills
